WCC’s summer concert is always uplifting and enjoyable. This year the choir will repeat last year’s successful partnership with special guests Colliers Wood Chorus for ‘Summer Serenade – an exploration of musical stories’.
The concert is at 6 pm on Saturday 27th June at St Matthew’s Church, Durham Road, SW20 0DE.
Full details and tickets (£18, or £10 for under 16s) are available here
Profits will be donated this year to The Amber Trust, which provides musical opportunities for blind and partially sighted children, including children with more complex needs
The Walk and Talk movement takes the form of a get together and walk every Saturday leaving from the War Memorial in the village at 10.30 am. It's a gentle walk lasting between an hour and an hour and a half and usually ending somewhere where refreshments are provided. There is no need to book - just turn up. You can see more details on their facebook page.
On some occasions we know what the walk's destination is beforehand and, if we do, we will try and publish it here
As research has shown that singing with other people benefits physical and mental health, why not join the chorus yourself?
Wimbledon Community Chorus meets every Tuesday during term time from 7.45pm – 9.30pm at St Mary’s RC School, Russell Road, SW19.
No auditions, no singing experience necessary, it’s fun – and it’s good for you!
