The more members we have, the stronger our voice in fighting unwelcome change to this attractive area and in influencing the Council and other authorities to make a positive difference. As a member, you get:
Local news updates by email (approximately monthly) plus an annual printed newsletter
Access to this dedicated website offering news, events, and links to other useful websites.
You also have two or three opportunities a year to meet your neighbours, with free refreshments:
A Spring get-together, where you can meet your MP, local councillors and local police representatives to hear about and discuss local issues
An informal drinks gathering in November at the Rushmere Pub (on the Ridgway)
Weather permitting, an outdoor drinks do in Summer.

In 2023 we introduced a Direct Debit system for all new members, and for any existing members who paid by cash or Standing Order but were happy to switch to this more convenient and secure method of payment. The majority of our members now pay by Direct Debit and we are encouraging all remaining members to do so to help us improve our efficiency and make better use of our limited resources.
Our Direct Debit system is operated by GoCardless, a reputable and secure payment processor used by many other respected organisations. Your subscription will be debited annually on the last day of January. The payment will appear on your bank statement as ‘DIRECT DEBIT GOCARDLESS’ and we will e-mail you in advance to remind you of the amount and the date.

by giving your email address you are consenting to receiving our eNewsletters and
SRRA will only use your contact details for our membership records and for staying in touch with you. We will never pass them on to third parties without your permission.
